Comment area not showing up on any of my posts??

    Hi,

    My comment area on all my posts is not showing up. I have no idea what could be wrong. I use WordPress’ comments feature, no plugins. All the comments are visible on my Dashboard, but they are not showing up on my blog. I made sure comments are enabled in the Settings > Discussion tab.

    What is happening? Help!

    p.s. the only thing different I notice is on my toolbar it says “caching” and I don’t remember seeing that before. Is there some action I need to take there?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    I’ve had a look at the site and the posts as you’ve mentioned the comments aren’t displaying.

    Currently, your site is hosted with BlueHost and using the WordPress installation. Your domain is registered through Go Daddy, and you can drop WordPress.com all together. Because the domains aren’t pointed to us there’s no need for you to have the domain mapping any longer for abbieemusic.com and abbiee.com.

    From Go Daddy you can point the domains directly to BlueHost and you don’t need to keep the WordPress.com name servers on the DNS record.

    I’ve disabled the renewal on the domain mapping for those 2 domains so that you aren’t billed for those come November when they expire.

    Okay, so back to the comments.. I looked at the page source and didn’t see any mention of comments being enabled. I’d suggest that you double check they are enabled for each post. If they are, then there’s a disconnect somewhere along the way… With out access to your site (because it’s not with WordPress.com) I can’t really investigate that further.

    There are 2 resources available for you to get support with your WordPress installation.

    1. Talk to BlueHost and ask them if they have any WordPress support available. Some hosting companies offer WordPress support.

    2. Visit the community forums for the WordPress installation. Those are at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you post there a volunteer will try to help you through any trouble you are having. You could also search those forums with a short description of what you are experiencing to see if there’s been any previous advice given on the matter.
