Comment avatars

Is there anyway to change the comment avatars for unregistered users’ comment? I was planning on shifting my blog from Blogger, but frankly, those hideous quilt like images turn me right off.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Settings -> Discussion scroll to the bottom of the page and note the selection of options you can choose from.
An avatar is an image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on avatar enabled sites. Here you can enable the display of avatars for people who comment on your blog.

Maximum Rating G — Suitable for all audiences
