  How do i delete the comment box from the pages on my site? I’m using the goran theme, and I went to the discussion tab, and to be honest I unchecked everything, and yes I did save it. I even found the code for the box and tried to clear it that way, but it’s still there. Any ideas?

  From my experience, changing the discussion settings only affects pages/posts created after the setting is saved, it won’t affect comments settings for existing pages.

  What you can do though, is edit the page you want to remove the comment box from. On the top right of the screen, click on “Screen Options” (It’s just to the left of the help button). This will show an options menu with a set of checkboxes. Check the one that says “Discussion” then scroll to the bottom of the page. You will now see an option called “Allow comments”. Uncheck this box and save the page. This should remove the comment box.

  All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. Your visitors click the post tiles or the comment links or comment bubbles on the front page of the blog and they are directed to the full post appearing on it’s own page where the comment boxes appear at the end of the posts.

  You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.

  You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.
