Comment Box Changed?

I am in the middle of a trial in a very important case I’m following on my blog. I had to leave for a while and came back to find that my comment box had gone from white to a charcoal grey and some of my main people left because they cannot see to type in that box. What do I do?
Do I need to change the theme? Is there a way to change the box back to the way it was?

I don’t use the Modularity Lite theme so I cannot confirm whether or not the color in the comments box has been changed by Staff or not. What I can do is flag the thread so our Moderators move it to the Themes Forum. There Themes Staff monitor threads and reply to them

Is it possible that you’re referring to the new commenting interface that we just launched a few hours ago?

If so, I’m not sure why it would cause people to leave. Are you hearing any feedback on it specifically?

Mac Manx, Yes, it is apparently a new thing that happened while I was out. One of my regulars cannot see as the box you type the comment in it is so dark and the print shows white. I can see if fine, but this one of my regulars that is complaining and she’s usually pretty easy going. It shows the way it normally would once the comment is submitted.
Is there a way to change it back to white with black type?

niecey456, sounds like a plan. I think we might purse just a brighter text color on the dark background, so we can still blend with the overall look of the theme.

I can’t read a thing I am writing in the comment box on my favorite blog. The comment box is bright enough (even though the background for the homepage is quite dark), but the text is almost the same color as the comment box background. Any idea when this will be fixed?

One interesting thing I noticed is that if I open my blog using Internet Explorer then the problem I mentioned in my other post still persists. (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/help-problems-with-new-comment-box-font-colour?replies=8). This is however not the case when using Google Chrome where the text and background shade contrast is apparent enough.
I’d appreciate it if this could be resolved. Thank you once again macmanx.

This problem persists on my blog. It seemed to have been fixed for a time but now the problem is back. I’m using Modularity Lite and don’t want to switch themes. I truly appreciate your help.

Staff are still working on the comments section. Mine have changed two or three times today already. I’d expect this to be settled by Monday.

I have to say, I’m glad for the change back, at least until all the bugs are worked out.
