Comment box disappearance from blog posts

  Hello – Thanks for assistance in returning the reader comment box to my blog, labeled the Home page at Bookseedstudio.
  I believe I have checked all the appropriate boxes to have comments on my posts on children’s lit. at Bookseedstudio.
  But the new post went up on Feb 7, 2019, yesterday, without a way for readers to comment. Although the comment ability was there last month, although a bit tricky for some to access, several did leave a comment.
  Can you please tell me how to restore the comment box? I don’t see a way to do that on the Discussion page in management of Settings at my Administration page on the site.
  At least 3 readers, who are teachers, have found me through twitter or fb to let me know their frustration in not having the comment area up & running. (and to leave their comment there…)
  I have no idea what change I might have made to have messed this up, but I don’t think I did anything, although that’s also very possible. I’m truly puzzled. Can you help?
  I’ve left 2 questions on this topic in the forum, also.
  I’m a volunteer children’s literacy specialist & the blog is a way to share ideas on writing, mainly poetry, as part of the voluntary Kitlitosphere.
