Comment box disappeared .. says closed @ new posts

  Hi,

  I have a wordpress blog and somehow its not showing the comment box.

  The previous posts with comments says that the comments are closed and the new posts doesn’t even show the box.

  I’ve tried everything from checking the global settings to reinstalling the themes but none works.

  Can someone help?
