Comment Box not appearing

Hi, I just changed my theme and now there is no box to leave comments. I’ve triple checked and comments are ennabled on my blog and on individual posts, and there is a “Leave a Comment” option at the bottom of the newest post. If you click on it, it takes you correctly to the entire post, but at the bottom, where the comment box should be, there is just an ad for google and nowhere to actually comment. Help. Thanks.

I see a comment box on everything on the main page except for the latest post. Open that post in the post editor, scroll down below the text area and in the discussion module make sure comments are enabled and then update the post.

Using Firefox 3.6.16 I see a “leave a comment” link on all post on your front page too. The latest post has yet to receive a comment but a visitor has “liked” it. When I clicked the “leave a comment” link the comment box appeared. So have you sorted this now?
Our front pages display our posts and comments are collapsed on the front page. Until we click the comment link or post title we cannot see comments that have been left. When we click the leave a comment link or the post title link the post opens on it’s own page and all comments are visible. This is a god send because it the comments did not collapse on the front page we would have front pages a mile long. Worse still is that page loading time is a factor in page ranking.

Hi, thanks for your assistance. So I definitely had the comments enabled on that post, but when I clicked on the post no comments box would appear. Just for the heck of it, I copied the entire post and posted it AGAIN in a “new post”. This time comments worked just fine. I deleted the old post and now all appears to be working normally. I think something just got broken there for awhile. Who the heck knows what was going on, but I appreciate everyone’s input.

It could be that there was something in the post that was causing it.
Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click save changes. Hopefully this will keep it from happening in the future.
