Comment count is not correct

  My comment count is often incorrect — specifically, I approve a comment and it appears on line, but the comment count doesn’t change. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

  Can you give us an example of a post where this occurs? It could be you’re looking at a cached version of your main blog page, or it could be that the count is not updating at all.

  My apologies — I’m new to this and I’m not sure how to answer your question.

  This has happened with all of my posts, it’s just more noticeable (and more annoying) with posts that receive few comments.

  Ultimately, the count always is accurate (I think), but it can take a while.

  What is a “cached version” of my main blog page? Are you saying that perhaps I’m just looking at my main blog page in a way that (falsely) makes it seem as though the comment count is not up-to-date? How can I stop doing this?

  Any ideas you have would be most appreciated.
