Comment Email Notifications

  Hi,

  We use our blog internally at our library. I have email notifications for comments enabled through Settings -> Discussion, but they still won’t send emails. Will an email notification be sent if the post author is the same as the comment author? That is the only problem I can think of. The blog is private, but the testing post can be found here http://ntclibrary.wordpress.com/2012/06/21/test-for-comments/

  No, standard comment notifications are not sent if the author comments on his own post, but subscription notifications are sent if the author subscribes to the comments on his own post.
