Comment embed – YouTube
-
it seems that if a commenter types a YouTube url, the video automatically is directly embedded and viewable in the comments. I read the Support document at http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/embeds/ that appears to verify this
My question: is there no option then for the url to appear, if I prefer, instead of the video? With infinite scrolling plus WordAds video, I’m not keen on having video comments except in special cases, but I don’t mind links, if they are appropriate.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the info, raincoaster. Guess I’ll have to either approve or trash the comment

If you don’t mind the link, and are happy to edit the comment yourself, I think that if you put a space before the link it will stop it being embedded and turn it into a link. They only embed if they have their own line in the comment. (That is how it works on my blog anyway.)
