Comment Feature on Aside Postings

Is there a way a comments/like/share box can be added to a posting when it’s done in Aside?

The only way I seem to be able to get the comments section to appear on the home page for each post is when they’re all set to Standard, and ideally I’d rather not have that as I don’t really want the titles for each post appearing also, as there’s a graphic to take the place of the titles within the actual post.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

d097: hi there, could you please clarify in which theme you are seeing this behavior of sharing buttons not appearing under Aside posts on the home page?

I checked this site linked to your forum profile:
    http://i-know-something-you-dont-know.com/

It is using the Chateau theme. If you enable sharing under Settings > Sharing and choose the option of “Show sharing buttons on posts, pages, and index pages”, it show up correctly for you.

If it’s not, please let us know the theme you are using and which blog you are trying to enable the sharing buttons on, and we’ll look into more details.

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply, I am indeed using Chateau. I’ve done as advised and that’s given me the Facebook & Twitter sharing options, however I still lose the ‘Post A Comment’ option when it’s in aside.

It is intentional. I mean to say that commenting is not allowed on front page aside posts. See: http://theme.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/chateau-post-format21.jpg Via Theme Showcase for Chateau.
[Tip] You can manually post a text-link or image-link inviting a comment, as
