Comment Form

Comment form (with the four boxes of Name, Mail, Website, and comments box) will not show on my posts. It will show on pages. Go to http://mediasafety.wordpress.com and you’ll see what I mean. My first post is Internet on the left column under Topics.

How can I get the form that displays on Pages to display on Posts?

    Thanks.

the comment form works fine in your internet post. you have to click on the link to be able to comment. comments do not appear at home page. it appears on your pages because you are directly in the page url.

Thanks for your replay, Sulz. It just seems odd to me to have to click on the “Comments” link on a Post to get the form, and on a page, the form is there “automatically” at the end of the page. Knowing some of the readers that may want to comment and are a little visually challenged, a form already there under a post would be much more convenient.

If what you say is correct and there is no other solution, I may nclude a little blurb at the end of each post instructing readers to click on the Comments link.

Thanks again for taking the time. This is my first blog.

as i said, you can view the comment form on the page because you’re directly at the page url. with posts, you are able to view the latest post on the home page, but it’s not the permalink of the post. to comment on the post, you need to be at the direct url of the post.

readers who have been reading blogs regularly would know intuitively to click on the comments link to leave a comment. you could put up a text widget with that notice, though.

Hi. I’m new to this. My posts (sammypaul.wordpress.com) don’t even have a “Comments” link. Am I missing something. Thanks. Sam

The theme you use has the “No Comments” link as the link to leave a comment. Or people can just click on the post title.
