Would it possible to add a toggle option in Wp-Admin > Settings > Discussion to “Display comment form above comments”? Many thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

You can customize your comment settings by following the steps below.

    1. Click edit next to the post.

    2. Click settings.
    3. Under settings, you should see a menu called discussion.
    4. You can then view a list of customization options.

    5. Click update to save your settings.

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to reply but the only options under “Discussion” when editing an individual post are “Allow comments” and “Allow pingbacks & trackbacks”.

My suggestion is to WordPress.com, to have a general setting in WP-Admin that would allow the comment form to display above comments, instead of below. Thanks!

  • Hi @jamesriddett

The WordPress developers are working on adding more flexibility to how themes are managed (using similar blocks to what you find in the page/post editor) so that you will have the ability to place elements like the comment form anywhere you wish just by moving that “block” around.

For the time being however, there is not an option to move the comment form. Thank you for your suggestion!
