comment form disappeared from my blog

The comment form disappeared from the front page and my three additional pages on my wp.com blog. On the front page there is a link in tiny letters that reads, “leave a reply” at the end of the list of tags. But even that does not appear on my three additional pages. What happened and how do it get it back? Thank you.

There are two main locations for setting up comments.
1. > Settings > Discussion
___Allow people to post comments on new articles(These settings may be overridden for individual articles.)
Checkmark and then scroll down to click “Save Changes”
2. If you edit each of the articles in question and look for this setting you will probably find it’s been disabled.
Scroll down under the editor box and find the Discussion module. Then make sure this setting is checkmarked:
Discussion
___ Allow commentsCheckmark and then click “Update”

I just tried this on my test blog too and can confirm that did not get a “leave a comment” phrase, although the comment box below could be clearly seen. As the phrase has disappeared and as only Staff can access and edit theme templates I suggest that you contact them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

You’re welcome. I’m sorry I could only confirm the phrase was no appearing. Best wishes for a happy ending.

There’s a third setting too. Go to Settings>Discussion, uncheck the option “Automatically close comments on articles older than x days”, save.
