Comment Moderation

  Is there a way to enable comment moderation on only some posts? For example, on my blog, I have a contact page, but I want people who want to contact me privately to have that option. Therefore, for that page only, I’d like comment moderation.

  Is that possible?

  Not really.
  You will find that when you write either a page or a post there is a row of blue buttons on the right hand side of either the “write page” or the “write post” editor. Note the top one that’s labeled Discussion+. If you click on the +plus sign a drop-down menu will appear and you can choose to allow or prevent comments or pings. This in addition to the options you find on the Discussion page -> Dashboard -> Options -> Discussion are the only management options you have over comments.

  Right, I saw that, thats why I was wondering if there was additional functionality somewhere else to control it via individual posts.

  Nah – there isn’t. It would be a nice feature that would probably be infrequently used by most bloggers but that doesn’t prevent you from requesting it via feedback.

  Just to clarify, it is all or nothing. You can’t set moderation to only some posts.
