Comment Moderation- Assuming All Are Bots

    Hi,
    I’ve received multiple emails from my followers saying they are getting an error message when leaving a comment saying they are a ‘suspected bot’. I am still however getting emails regarding moderating the comment. All of my discussion filters are turned way down. Can you let me know the reason this may be happening? It’s driving traffic away from my site. Thank you.

    We’d be happy to help, but we require one vital piece of information. What is the URL of your website?

    Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

    If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please contact support directly for whatever commenting or spam-prevention plugin you are using on your site, rather than the general WordPress.org forums in this case.
