Comment moderation error

Recently, the box that holds my blacklisted commenters was wiped clean. I posted a question about it here, but nothing has changed. Now I notice that I cannot check the box in Discussion Settings that a commenter must have a previously approved comment. I check it, then hit Save, and the check mark vanishes, leaving it open for anyone to comment again. Since I post controversial material at times, this is a big problem. What’s up, please? Thanks in advance.

When I visit the settings page for your site, it appears to me that the discussion settings reflect that the comment author must have a previously approved comment: https://wordpress.com/settings/discussion/unseenmoon.wordpress.com
Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still?

Jerry, just a few hours ago I was able to set it right. Could not do it before. All seems to be working right now. Thanks, however.
