Comment notices late

  I am finding comments coming to me via email one and two days late. Why is this suddenly happening? Just another “new” and exciting change?

  Hi there,

  Can you give me an example of a comment where the email notification arrived late? (You can send me a link to the post and point out which comment it was.) I can then check for you to see what happened with that comment’s notification. :)

  Just consider the last ten or twelve as late….

  Seems the last four or five months have been really difficult for posting anything on my blog. Still having the highlighting and color issues, and I am tired of having to do everything two or three times to get it to work. Now this comment problem.

  I could be wrong but I think WordPress is well ware of problems, and not addressing them in the hopes that they will get them fixed fast, or that bloggers will just deal with them.

  Ok! I’m going to start by looking into the most recent comment by Todd here:

  Hauntings…

  That comment was left on April 8 at 6:59 PM CDT (11:59 PM UTC), and the timestamp on the outgoing email notification about the comment is Apr 8 23:59:55 UTC. So the email was sent out right away — it’s possible it took some time for your email provider to process that email, in which case they’ll be able to give you more details about that.

  Please let me know if you have additional concerns about those email notifications.
