comment notification and RSS

I cannot see if notification of comments is automatic or if there is a box I need to check. Also, is there a utility to make RSS feed of my blog available?

In Settings>Discussion, look for “email me whenever” and check the appropriate box. This link has screencaps.
Your feed is available and I see it’s working fine. The address is http://richardmitnick.wordpress.com/feed/
If you decide to stay with that theme, you can link your feed url to an image in a text widget. That’s all covered in the FAQ and support docs. Many other themes have feed icons built in.
You can also sign up at feedburner to use their service for subscriptions by email:

hello! so if someone wants to have my rss feed they just have to add my domain followed by “/feed”…. but how can i put an icon in my blog with the rss icon so it’s more convenient for the user…. i understood that u can’t have an rss feed if the blog is private http://damnedsky.wordpress.com

@damnedsky – Private blogs do not have feeds. That one at the link you provided isn’t private. The feed is at:
http://damnedsky.wordpress.com/feed/
and it’s working. The link thesacredpath gave you explains the “how” part.
