Comment notifications to one particular email address

  Hi there,

  we have different users (admins as well as subscribers) in one WordPress system. Every user is able to write blog posts. Comments are allowed on every post. At the moment the author of a post gets an email whenever a comment is added.

  We want to use one particular email adress to get these comment notification emails (no matter who the author of the post is). Is it possible to set up one email address of my choice to get all comment notification emails?

  Hi –

  Does your site use WordPress.com or the WordPress installation? The answer will likely depend on which version you are using..

  You could probably set this up through Google Groups. This would allow everyone to maintain their own email identity as that’s not something that you’d want to share with anyone.

  Hi,

  we used the usual wp install.

  To my mind Google Groups has to be integrated via an external plugin or an API. Is that the only solution to send all comment notifications to one central email address?

  Hi there,

  Would it be possible to get a link to your site? The reason we ask for this is that these forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com. From your description, it sounds like you may be using a self-hosted version of WordPress. You’ll find the differences outlined at:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  On WordPress.com comment notifications go to the posts author and the site owner as outlined in:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/comment-notification-email/

  Therefore, if your site is on WordPress.com you may want to set the email address of the owner to a group email address (such as a Google Group or other group email).

  If your site is using the self-hosted version of WordPress or WordPress.com Business plan you may install a plugin. Here are just some of your options:
