comment on <em>, <i> and other italic tags

    hello,

As I’ve read on some problems here I should like to say that you shouldn’t use to italicize your text. is athere to emphasize the text and Peterandrej is right to feel free to make it red, bold or whatever stands out.

You can’t just use <cite> to have italics as the tag points to the title of a work, such as book.

Finally, I’d like to say that I was disappointed to see turned to <b> which isn’t at all the same thing. <b> may be bold but like <i> it has no semantic meaning, it’s just an italic appearance. So I’m happy that outout some red stuff — haven’t tried that yet.

    cheers

Put code between backticks — doesn’t work for ''

Use em (emphasize) for italics and strong for bold. For quotations there is blockquote.
