Comment problem…?

  Okay. I just had someone try to comment on some of the articles on my blog and the comments are not showing up. This is the second person I’ve had that has claimed to comment on my blog and the comments do not show up. I do have all my comments under moderation approval. So, I’m automatically notified when I have a comment because my notifications will tell me I need to approve it or not. Why are people not able to comment on my blog? How do I fix this? How do I keep this from happening in the future?

  Hi there – So it sounds like you have your blog set up to require that comments be moderated by you before appearing on your site. Is that right?

  If that’s right, I’ll take a small step back and ask: are you seeing the comments from these folks in your comment moderation queue? Or are their comments not appearing there at all?

  Yes, you are correct. I have my blog set up where comments have to be moderated by before they appear to the public.

  Now, this second person, I found out what the issue is. I went to the admin panel and found out that they ended up in the spam folder. After moving them out of the spam folder, I’ve approved them and now they show up on my blog.

  Now, the first person that commented on my blog, I still haven’t found out what happened to their comments.
