comment problems…

  hiya, just today if someone comments on my blog, it doesn’t show up. I still get the email telling me that someone has commented and I can read what they wrote, but it isn’t on the blog. It isn’t stuck in spam either. Does anyone know if WordPress has a problem today?

  Did someone maybe use the contact form instead? That shows up in your email. Comments that show up in email have a link to view the post; which post is it?

  Check your first post.

  I believe I am having a bug where comments to specific posts end up as comments to my first post instead. I also see the comments to my first post instead of the correct comments, whenever I publish a new post, preview a new post, or edit one.

  I’d like to chime in here; I have been having comment issues as well — just in the past 24 hrs far as I can tell. I haven’t had emailed comments for days — and it’s not a spam or blocked address issue. I can deal with that issue, no problem — but some comments today are showing up on the wrong post — no idea why.

  For example: at least one comment on this post (from masala magic) was supposed to appear on this post. The blog is outofthegarden.wordpress.com.

  Also, several comments do not appear on my dashboard at all — only when I view my site.

  None of this is a real problem — the site is free after all! But it’s a little confusing. Any ideas/advice most appreciated till I can email support tmo.
