  Will I always get the opportunity to approve a comment before it is posted?

  If you set up comment moderation for all comments the answer is “yes”. This page > Settings > Discussion http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/ is where you set up defaults for comments. You have complete control comment moderation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation

  Note: We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

  Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.

  You deleted the Hello Wolrd placeholder post and that created the 404 (page not found) error message but as soon as you publish a post, not a page the “nothing found” will disappear.

  Thanks so much! I just deleted the Hello World in order to do the first post.
  Should I take it out of the trash while I’m working on the first post?

  While I have been using WordPress for an already established blog (set up by someone else), this is my first go at setting it up from scratch.

  There’s no need to resurrect it. I just wanted to explain the 404 error message to you as we have had a rash of bloggers who assume their blog is broken when that 404 appears.
