Comment Replies – The One Thing I REALLY Want . . .
-
I have been with WP.com for over two years, and have loved every minute of my experience. I’ve toyed with the idea of moving to another platform a couple times, but I always choose to stay right here when it’s all said and done.
Thank you.
Having said all that, there is one thing that I would like to see added to WP.com. I’d do my best to explain it . . .
When someone comments on my blog, I like to be able to reply to them in two ways, once on the blog, and again by email. Is there a way to combine the two . . .
Right now, I can choose the Reply by Email option, where my reply gets sent to the blog as a comment reply to the original comment. Is there a way for an additional and identical email to be sent to the commenter? I have seen this elsewhere, and find it to be 1) very cool, and 2) something I really want to be able to do here at WP.com.
As it stands, I can either reply by email and hope they check back, or leave a comment and them email them separately and cut and paste my reply or let them know that I left a reply on the blog. Tedious . . .
Help?
And, again, thanks!!!

I’m sorry but what you suggest is not available at this time. Each and every person who leaves a comment on your blog has the option od subscribing to the comment feed. Please see here for set up instructions. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/comment-subscriptions/
In addition to that every wordpress.com blogger has a My Comments link on their dashboard that we can click and locate every comment we have left on another wordpress.com blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-comments/
Aside: I have unsubscribed from every blog where the blogger chooses to spam me with email relies to my comments. My email load is heavy enough as it is and I do not appreciate the duplication. Have you considered that other commenters may feel the same way?
