Comment requirements need to be removed

    Hi?

    How to remove this “Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:” in comment section. It seems my site visitors are not leaving comments because this requirements (email, name, website), even if they dont have to. As long as it’s there people are not gonna leave comments. I think I kept losing valuable insights from them. :( Or is it not even possible without upgrading it?

    Be keenly aware that the vast and overwhelming majority of all so-called information on the internet is spam. Over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day are spam.

    Spam comes in waves. There are human beings who get paid to post spam. There are robotic programs that post spam. Setting up anonymous commenting is akin to throwing down a welcome mat to spammers and phishers and all their buddies too, as they sell URLs and email addresses to each other for spamming and phishing purposes.

    This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

    Note that the prompt to submit and email address and a website URL will still appear, but providing an email address and logging in are not required, and you cannot change this so the prompt does not appear.

    You can post instructions for your visitors in a text widget if you wish to set up anonymous commenting. That’s easy to do. You can copy and paste this into a text widget:

    Advice: Do be sure to set up full comment moderation on your own blog ie. “An administrator must always approve the comment” because anonymous commenting is bound to increase the amount of spam your blog will receive.
