comment response notification

  My blog commenters are not receiving my comment responses, how can we fix this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Amber – This depends on each commenter’s notification settings. If your commenter is logged into WordPress.com, they should get a toolbar notification if you reply to their specific comment (but they won’t get one if you reply further down in the thread). Otherwise, they can click the box in the comment form for ‘notify me of follow-up comments via email’ when they comment to be notified of all comments on a specific post.

  If that doesn’t answer your question, can you please provide some specifics about which users weren’t notified of which comments, and whether it was a toolbar notification that they did not get, or an email?

  email notification. Is there a way to email them specifically if I respond only to their comment & not see every response? For example, if they were to check email me follow up comments- that’s every single comment after theirs…

  Hi Amber – There isn’t any way to control that. They’ll get a toolbar notification for any reply you make to their specific comments (provided they’re logged into WordPress.com) and/or they can choose to follow comments by email:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/following-comments/

  Does that explain why these users didn’t get an email, or had they subscribed to the comments for that post?
