Has anyone else ever suggested to WordPress that it would be really nice if one’s comments were able to be easily found? I comment mainly at WUWT’s site. I do not leave a lot of comments there, as it is mainly I site where I go to learn from those who have spent their lives working and studying in the many fields of science. The problem is that when I try to go back and find some of my comments I am forced to search through the entire thread of comments to find my one or two remarks. This makes it extremely hard to search back to find valued comments which I have made. Disqus has made a great change on their site, where I can see all of my comments in chronological order back to day one. I have over 4,000 comments there now. Newsvine, which was the first blog site in which I participated, used to have a similar method allowing one to view only one’s own comments. They changed that, and after 3 years and 7,000+ comments I gave up on Newsvine. The many comments I had made there were all lost to me. Now with WordPress, i try and save a link to any page on which I leave a comment to maintain my own library. Unfortunately, due to constant attacks by the catastrophic climate change activists who do not like the clarity of my thought, I have been continually under attack from them for many years. This means that I occasionally lose some of my saved work as I have to reload my backup every several days to get away from their main attack, which is to disable my ability to comment using FB or Disqus. Sometimes there are other tweaks which force me to do a restore. It would be wonderful if WordPress could enable one to see only their own comments, and thus maintain a library that could be used to find special comments without having to spend hours or days going through entire threads.
