comment section gone bad in WP 4.0

Since upgrading to WP 4.0 my comment section has gone weird. The Danish alphabet contains some letter that don´t exsist in the English alphabet. These letters have now been replaced with signs, such as white questionmarks on black background. NOT very nice. Is there any way that I can return to the previous WP version until you have corrected this?
