Comment Section on Blog
-
Hi everyone, spent the morning learning WordPress. first time using it. The boss has asked me to put something together, it has gone really well i just need help on one issue please.
On the blog page I have created on the website, I have a problem with the comment section. First, I don’t understand where to go/how to remove the website section from the comments and i would like to.
Secondly, the comment section is wider then the screen which has made 95% of the post comment button dis-appear.
Any advise would be amazing.

If not – are you able to supply the site URL you are needing assistance with?
Thank you! :)

I am assuming you are talking about this WordPress.com site https://crystalcleardata.wordpress.com/ and I had a look at this blog post on your site https://crystalcleardata.wordpress.com/2014/04/11/how-to-share-your-database-without-sharing-2/
To clarify, you are using the Jetpack comments feature that comes on all WordPress.com sites, and not the default comments that comes on all self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) sites.
First, I don’t understand where to go/how to remove the website section from the comments and i would like to.
It’s not possible to remove the website field. Although note that it’s not a mandatory section. As for the name and email address fields, you can make them mandatory/not mandatory on this page.
Secondly, the comment section is wider then the screen which has made 95% of the post comment button dis-appear.
It doesn’t look to be the case. Everything looks fine. Can you share a screenshot of this happening? You can upload the screenshot to a tool like cloudapp.com and share it with us here the link.

Thanks for the replies.
I had seen the below link, so i thought it must of been possible, I just did not know where to go to access the script for the page.

No that is not the website sorry, its a different one I am just using the bosses account atm for the forum, the site I am having difficulties with isn’t live yet.
I will work on finding a way to get an image to you of the issue, I didn’t realize until posting the question that i could not attach one. the issue will have to have something to do with the width of the comment section on the page.
