Comment thread closing options

  I mentioned this in relation to New versus Old Journalist where the issue arose for me. I like to be able to close comment threads after a time, or because they are going off track. Some themes allow this to happen, but others don’t. What I mean is that I want to be able to terminate a thread without the rest of the thread disappearing. Could this be made standard across all the themes? Just an idea… But it would certainly open up more themes for me.

  (The old Journalist did allow you to close the thread without losing the comments. It was something I requested when it first appeared. If the new one doesn’t, try sending a note to support on it.)

  I agree that all themes should allow the comments to be closed and the thread not disappear.
