Comment troubles
-
I have a free and totally basic blog, and people keep wondering how to post comments on it, but they have no idea how, and I have no idea how to find out because I think the website looks different on my computer since I’m the owner of the blog. How can people post comments? Is there a way to make it easier?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, so, the comment form will show up at the end of your post:
https://roadtosardinia.wordpress.com/2017/11/10/all-of-the-olives-plus-everything-but-the-kitchen-sink/If they scroll down, they can find the comment form there — are they able to see it?
You should see it too even if you’re logged in.
They won’t see comments on the front page of the site, though.
Also: I noticed the images from your testing post are missing — are they still accessible in google images?

@chloesuemac another easy way to reply to comments: they can subscribe via email, then (I believe!) they can just reply to the email to comment. If you want to have them do that, there’s a follow button on your site or you can add a follow widget under My Site > Customize > Widgets.

Okay. I think the problem is that people only check out the front page. I don’t think I was even aware that there were other pages besides the front page, haha. How do they look at a single post?
Also yes, I still have no idea how to fix my problem with image uploads. The guy on the more general help said I needed to download them and then paste them, or something like that, but that’s a long process. Is there any easier way to do that? I have them in my google photos account so that I can take pictures on my phone, then open google photos on my computer and copy and paste them from there to the blog. But whether I format the post as an image, gallery, or standard, it only shows them on my computer. I try emailing them to myself and then copying and pasting from there, but that doesn’t seem to work, either. According to the advice I got last time, I need to screenshot each photo and then upload them that way. But I have a lot of screenshots and other downloads on my computer, and I would have to wade through a lot. Even the way it is now, it takes forever to transport pictures, and I really don’t have thirty minutes to spare every day just trying to get a few pictures to show up on a blog. -
Okay, excellent. Thanks! I’ll tell everybody. And about the pictures? Do you know of a better way to take care of that?

ps. I’ve got to go to bed now I’m afraid, then school, so I won’t be corresponding for the next several hours. But I’ll make sure to look at the response when I get the next chance!

No worries, @chloesuemac, no rush on replies.
If you haven’t tried this yet, go ahead and connect your Google account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/photos-from-google/How do they look at a single post?
If they’re following the site by email or with the reader (and I can see a few friends are) they’ll automatically see single posts in the reader or in email, and should be able to respond there. If anyone in particular is having trouble, send them our way and we can help!

Alright! Google photos is officially connected! Now do I just copy and paste from there onto my blog entry? Or is there a place on the blog now where people can view them like a gallery?

You’ll want to use the browse photos option like so:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/photos-from-google/#browsing-photosThis *should* copy the images to your library here. I hope that helps!
-
Also, a note on images in your library here: sometimes folks will delete them to free up space. Be sure you don’t delete any images you’re using on your site or they’ll no longer be on the site. I hope that helps! Enjoy the rest of your day there :)
