Comment width, mobile device
-
The new look has made the “Comment” feed, when viewed on a mobile device (specifically an iPhone 4 iOS 6, though I’m guessing this holds true over other devices), extremely narrow. The two columns, the actual comment and the “in response to” are almost the exact same too-narrow size. The “meat” of the comments page is the actual comment, but at this width the line wraps to the next one after only four or so words, making long comments exceptionally difficult to read. In addition, there’s a third “off-screen” column on the far right that is completely useless and squeezes the comment even more. Please free up space to make comments easier to read, as they were yesterday. Maybe break the comment submitter and in response to columns into two cells (as they are now) and have a colspan=2 underneath that so the comment is “full screen.”

Here are some examples, as it specifically relates to the “Comments” thread. This is viewed on an iPhone 4, ios 6, the mobile version (and not the app version).
Comments, “full” screen. Note how narrow the comments field is, with only 4-5 words on each line:

But the “full” screen isn’t really the full-screen, with a huge amount of wasted space to the right, viewable when you zoom-out:

The narrow comments field is made even worse when you go to reply to a comment. If you want to go back and read what you are replying to, while you are replying to it, you get this:

As mentioned in the other thread:
Did you perhaps zoom out when you were on that screen? If so, please try to zoom in (pinch) or double tap the screen. Let me know if this resolves the issue, both on the comment page and the link width.
