  i understand that you can comment with a link to you tube.
  is it possible to add a comment with a link to a picture?

  Only the blog administrator can put pictures into comments. If you are trying to add an image on someone else’s blog, then all you can do is provide the http:// link. The picture won’t appear in the comment itself. (unless the blog’s owner edits your comment to include the image.)
