Commenters not being able to post

  Commenters are saying their blog comments are disappearing before it’s posted, or it won’t post, or whatever. What might the problem be?

  Hi there,

  Which blog are your users saying that they’re having problems with? And is it any particular entry that they’re having issues with or your entire site?

  ChilaWoychik.com is the site, and it applies to various entries at various times.

  Heya,

  There are two things that might be causing this issue:

  1) You currently have your blog set so that new commenters must have at least one comment approved before they will appear automatically. Someone might see this as their comment not appearing.

  2) At least one of your commenter’s comments appear to be in your Spam queue currently (https://chilawoychik.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?comment_status=spam). If this is the person that has been reaching out to you and you don’t think these comments are spam, then they will need to go to this address:

  Contact Us

  And will need to fill out the form there, making sure to indicate that they feel their comments are incorrectly being labelled as spam. They should also provide your blog address so that the Akismet folks know where to look for an example of their comments.
