  my readers are having a problem commenting on my posts. not all readers, just some. per the msg i received below via email.

  “Just to let you know I am having big problems leaving comments on your blog and your blog alone. If I either register under my google identity or alternatively leave my name/email and website details as a “guest”, every time I press the comment box, it doesn’t send. If I do it again, it tells me I have already sent the comment, but I can wait days and it never appears, so goodness knows whether the fault is your end or mine.”

  There are some reports of weirdness with the comments lately. I flagged this for staff attention.

  Hi there,

  That previous link had to do with security certificates whereas this seems to be something else entirely.

  Could you let me know your friend’s WordPress.com username? Was this the only user who is reporting troubles or are there others?

  Alternatively to providing their information if you or they are uncomfortable with that, we generally direct issues with commenting over to our Akismet department. We ask them to fill out the form right here:
