Commenting on a blog without having a wordpress account

  I have a commenter who is unable to leave a comment on my blog without being required to sign into a wordpress.com account. She no longer has a wp account, but apparently the email address she leaves with her comment is causing wordpress to ask her to sign in.

  Is it possible for this commenter to leave a comment without having a wp account? She seems to be the only person with this issue. I believe there are other commenters who do not have an wp account yet they are able to leave a comment.

  Hi twbtc2012,

  She no longer has a wp account, but apparently the email address she leaves with her comment is causing wordpress to ask her to sign in.

  If they closed their WordPress.com account within the last 30 days, the email address would still be connected to it — account data (including the email address) is purged after that time though. Do you know which email address they are using when trying to leave a comment?
