Commenting on blogs w/wordpress details

Hi, I’m trying to comment on blogs that have the option of commenting with your wordpress username/website url. However, the comment will not post correctly. I found a forum post from 5 years ago talking about it but no moderators ever commented on why this was an issue. Is there something that needs to be done in order for this to happen? Specifically, I’m finding problems with blogger. Some have the option of posting Name/URL but on the ones that don’t I’m having huge issues.

The blogspot.com software is not recognizing your WordPress.COM identity. This is a very common issue.

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/issue-with-openid-no-longer-working-as-it-should?replies=7#post-2181455The bottom line is that the blogspot software expects your blog to be the same as your username ie. it expects your username to be linked to a wordpress.COM blog URL that exactly matches your username.
When that isn’t the case the software will not allow you to link to any other URL in a comment. So the blogspot.com bloggers have to change their settings for comments for you to be able to comment as
