  I am trying to mod comments, but when I try to approve, they turn red.
  I am an author on the post I am trying to approve for.
  Why does this happen?
  Glitch maybe.

  it’s sounds to me that you don’t have permission to mod or approve
  comments please contact the admin of the blog & work out something with
  them.
