  comments appear at the wrong blog messages (former weblog-nl client)

  for example: http://tomdjurrephilips.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/verspreiding-verhaal-tom-via-twitter/#comments

  My son died at the 19. of March 2011. It’s very painful to read comments from before that date below a message months later. Unfortunately it’s appearing everywhere in the blog.
  I was a former weblog-nl client. I’m happy to notice that all my messages are imported succesfully and I am busy reparing the photo mistakes. I would like to repair the comments also.
  When it is not possible to repair it, can I hide them for my visitors (without losing the comments myself behind the scenes). Thank you very much. Willeke Philips

  In the example you’ve shown, the comments are displayed with the oldest comments at the bottom of the page. They appear to be in chronological order, not mixed up.

  To change the order in which the comments appear, go to Settings > Discussion Settings > Other Comment Settings and at the bottom of that section change the order in the line “Comments should be displayed with the OLDER comments at the top of each page.” Or Newer, whichever is your preference.

  If you are having problems with comment dates out of order, such as a comment on April 2 followed by a comment on Jan 3 and one Nov 6 of the same year, you may edit the comments and change the date and time to reorder them.
