    I have been left a comment and i am trying to figure who left it for me…(i know a few people with the same name). is there a way to track the comment back to a blog or a user through the name and email address left with the comment?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    If they included a website when they left the comment (which they must not have done given your question).

    Other than that, you could do a “whois” search for the IP address recorded with the comment which could tell you their general location and the name of their ISP, which could give you an idea of whether it was who you think it was.

    Go here http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp and put the IP address number into the field, then click the “IP address” radio button and search.
