I liked the classic edit which I don’t see.

And I don’t see my option for coloring text, etc. How do I do that.
Those options are all in the customizer, and work the same way they work in your other site. Here’s more info on the custom design options:

I went to customize and clicked for my where the sun don’t shine. But four times I get. “Sorry the customizer tools did not load correctly” then I’m offered a try again tab. I did it four times. Should I do something different?
Also, I’m trying to perfectly center, Welcome to the Netherworld. How would I do that? The center icon for the text does nothing on it.

I’m also trying to color the text: “There really is color excitement and…”
I do see a customize menu but when I click color all I see is pallets for coloring background etc. not texts.
I used to be able to select color texts from a tool bar right on my edit page as in the edits of my Leebythesea.me blog

I do believe I have the customize loaded onto my Where the sun don’t shine but I still can’t see how to change text colors. As i said, I used to have it right on the tool bar. Yes. It sounds like some of your edit tools are hidden on the new site. If you go to your edit page and click the last icon in the row (it’s called toolbar toggle) the next line of icons will open up and you’ll have the option to change the color of text inside a post again.

Thank you. That was very helpful. I want to go back to our very early communication where you provided me with a code to increase text size.
I tried to do it just now in the customizer and font. But I was led to Adobe typkit. Do I have to pay for something else, Typkit? Or do I have to save the code you gave me and use it here?
Seems it should be included in customize fonts.

Also, if you go to Leebythesea.me you can see I have side panels. I don’t recall how I got them. Do you know. I know I paid for customization to get that.

Never mind about the text size. I found it. Sorry. But I still don’t know how to get the side panels as on leebythesea.me I’ve been clicking here and there. After this I think I’ll leave you alone for the day. I’m wearing you out.

The theme you are using for your new site doesn’t actually have sidebars, so that’s why you haven’t been able to add them.
Here’s a list of our free themes with a right sidebar:

One of those might be a better fit for your new site.

If I choose a FREE one will it load what I already have on my current site?

yes to both questions–just be sure you choose the correct site from the dropdown menu when you activate it.

Some people are getting the post notifications some not. I got this from my daughter today.

No, I did not get an email from wordpress, and I cannot find it in spam either.

It looks like your daughter signed up to follow your site in the reader, but did not choose to get email notifications. She can update that here:

If she doesn’t remember creating an account or her password, she can login with her email address an click the “lost your password” link.

I’m trying to make my Leebythesea blog the way it should be. I now have searchers clicking my link taken to my about page. Never made a Home Page.
Can you help me with that. I started a new page but all I put in was a title: Lee by the Sea. How do I designate that page to become a Home Page with a set up as it should be. I have a photo of mysel with my pooch to use at the top somewhere. -
You can designate any page you like to be your home (or front) page. If you do that, you can also pick a different page to display all your blog posts. Here’s are the instructions for setting that all up:

I started to do this but It guides me to making a separate page for my posts. I thought I’d like to have my posts along with their feature photos right on my home page. Whatcha think of that and how would I do that.
Also it has me hitting publish pretty soon long before I’ve set up a header photo or anything else. I don’t want it half assed presented until I have it the way I want it.
