When readers post a comment, I receive an e-mail.
I can’t see them on the blog, and can’t manage them through the menu Comments.
I would like to keep the best ones, and show them in the menu. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In order for comments to appear under your posts, you have to first approve them.
You can find a list of all pending/approved/spam comments in Dashboard > WP Admin > Comments. Here’s a direct link to it.

Thanks, but the problem is that this list is empty, though people told me they had posted comments.
I adjusted a parameter, and now I get a mail for each comment which has been posted, but still I can’t see them in the list you mention ! -
That seems odd. The email that you get, does it mention you have received a new comment? Have you checked all the tabs including Approved, Pending and Spam?
Next, are you sure they aren’t sending you comments via the “Contact” form? To make sure, check the Feedback > Feedback section just below the Comments link.
If you can’t see them at both these places, I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance and one of them will be able to take a look at your account.
