I’ve used Word Press for several years for my blog and have heard from a number of people that they have trouble leaving a comment “An ordeal,” one said. I’ve had trouble, too, posting comments for other bloggers. I’m finding the whole site cumbersome. Anyone else?

Hi Lauren,
In order to be able to help you, could you tell me if you would like to change the Leave a comment text at the bottom of your posts?
If so, you can use the below CSS hack to modify the “Leave a comment” sentence:
span.comments-link a { color: rgba(255,255,255, 0); padding: 20px 20px 0 20px; } span.comments-link:before { font-size: 1.3em; margin-top: -3px; content: "f300 Please Leave a comment"; link: "http://www.test.com"; display: block; color: #ff8f85; cursor:pointer; } span.comments-link:hover:before { color: #000; -webkit-transition: all 0.3s linear; -moz-transition: all 0.3s linear; -o-transition: all 0.3s linear; transition: all 0.3s linear; }The default text is defined in the theme PHP script files, not in the CSS which means that you cannot change the wording without using this kind custom CSS code.
Please do not hesitate to reply if you need further help.
Take care,
Onur

Gee. The response to OGurel from Onur is gibberish to me. I’m beginning to understand the problem.

Some of the code may sometimes seem like gibberish :) but is actually much simpler than most programming languages used online.
If there is anything I can help you with @johnbriggs926 please do let me know.
Take care,

@lmatthews72988: I wanted to add that as mentioned at https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/ :
Custom CSS is part of Custom Design, which is a feature of the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans. You can add custom CSS to your WordPress.com blog using the CSS Editor in the Appearance → Customize → CSS panel in your blog dashboard. Anyone can save and preview custom CSS on a WordPress.com blog, but you have to purchase one of our plans to make those changes live
You will need to have the Custom CSS package in order to be able to add custom CSS code. This will let you customize many visual aspects on your blog.
