  Some of my postings have “Comments Off” at the bottom of the posting. How do I turn that off to allow postings. I have already clicked the allow boxes under discussion.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Make sure the allow comments is marked on the post itself.

  Posts > Edit > Quick Edit the post in question > Update Post

  It worked for the one I was working on but doesn’t change previously published posts.

  First go to settings > discussion and under default comment settings make sure that “Allow people to post comments on new articles ” is selected.

  Now what you will have to do is to “quick edit” all those posts and set them to allow comments. You can edit multiple ones at a time by clicking the checkbox to the left of the post name and then when done selecting posts, go to the bulk action pulldown and select “edit” and then click “apply”. You can then set all the posts you selected to allow comments in one edit.

  Thanks for the tip. I had selected close comments after 14 days. That’s why the comment was off.
