Hi. I am having trouble showing the comments at the bottom of the blogs. I thought I had it set to show comments but the fact that I don’t see them I can only assume I have not figured it out yet. I could use some advice please on the settings. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
To allow “Comments” go to Dashboard > Pages > All pages. Under every page listed in the Main Pane, there will be a quickedit link below each page title.
Check/tick to “Allow comments” and make sure to save changes.
Hope this helps

I think you’ll find the comments box only opens when you click on “leave a comment” which is at the top of your posts.
Readers clicking on your individual post headings will see the comments (if there are any) appear below the post.

I went to the dashboard and pages, all pages but the only page it shows it the about page. Not sure how to get to the other pages.
I don’t see a leave comment link at the top of the posts. I do see that some posts say 3 comments.

Ok,
In that case, click on “My Site” > “Pages”
The pages from your site will display in the Main Pane followed by thre dots (…)
Click on the dots associated with the page you want to modify and choose “Edit”.
On the menu on the left open “…More Options”, scroll down, under “DISCUSSION” check “Allow Comments”
Click the “Update” button to save your changes.
Hope this helps.

The 3 commenst is the link https://mysticalwings.wordpress.com/2012/09/22/crash-gate/#comments
Unless you use the P2 theme or the P2 Breathe theme which are Twitter-like themes, the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display. You cannot change this.
In a new blog, one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.
Additional information
Comments on posts and pages are enabled by default on all WordPress blogs. However, you can enable and disable comments on WordPress.com blogs on this page Dashboard > Settings > Discussion
That is where you set up defaults for comments and other comment options http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

Hi. daubian I only have one page that shows up and that is the about page. I followed your steps and it is clicked to allow comments but it sais to provide a comment section. I don’t know how to do that.
I have not been on this site in years and just changed my theme to the theme my friend uses. She said the comments below her blogs were always there. -

Both of you have given me a lot of help. I will have to look into all of the info and try to make sense of it all. I have the defaults set but still see no place that sais to leave comments. I do see it if I click on where it shows 3 comments but anyone that might want to leave a comment might want to do so without having to click the link to see the other comments. I was hoping to set up the page the way my friend did where the comments can be left under the blog.
