Hi again (my second question for today)

I always reply to comments on my blog via email. There’s never been a problem until today. For some strange reason, only a portion of my comment was posted. If you look at this comment http://fruitoftheword.com/2009/10/07/mega-churches/comment-page-1/#comment-9222
you will see it ends with the word “guilt.” There are still 2 more sentences in that paragraph and 3 more paragraphs. I checked my sent mail (I reply to comments on my blog via my Outlook. I checked my sent mail and sure enough, the whole comment is in sent mail but most of it is cut off.

Is there a problem that’s going on? I can quit answering comments this way and resort to answering them from either my dashboard or on my blog directly.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

First I’ve heard of it, but what you need to do is to contact staff since we are just volunteers here in the forums and have no backend access.

    Contact

It could have been a temporary glitch, or perhaps there is an issue somewhere.

    I opened a help ticket.

    Thanks for your help.

Thought I would post the status so that others may benefit from my mistake.

I typed “guilt –” in my comment. There was a lot of text after the ” — ” but it never showed up in my comment after I sent it via email. Turns out the issue was the ” — ” which, according to my email conversation with the help desk is “the universal sign that an email signature is next.”

Therefore, the system treated it as the end of my comment when it saw the
    ” — “

    Now I know. :)

Ah, that never occurred to me, but that is true, the double dash is the end thingy.
