  I am inundated with comments one every 2 or 3 mins mostly from ip address 146.185.223.232 but others as well. Is there anyway I can block comments altogether ?

  midsussexgs.co.uk is the address it is used purely for info no sales etc.

  In other words, your site is self hosted. So you would need to look for help in the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
