  I am trying to make it so my posts can’t be commented on and I thought I had it figured out but I keep getting a lot of spam happening and it is making me feel uneasy about keeping my blog going even though I love it. All the spam is very recent and i hoped turning off comments would help.

  Hi,

  For post or pages that have already been published you can disable comments by going to the post/page you want to disable comments then go to “More Options” and uncheck “Allow Comments”

  You can also use bulk editing, from your Admin dashboard, to disable comments for multiple posts. You can find more info on bulk editing at https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit

  Also, you can disable comments on new posts by going to My Sites > Manage > Settings then go to the “Discussion” tab and uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles”
