Hi! On the site you listed, you can scroll down to the bottom of the post and enter your text under Leave a Reply. If you’re running into any trouble with that, can you send more details?

I was trying to post a reply that would appear from the host of the blog (I am the administrator). If I reply using my email, it will appear as it was from a user instead of the host of the family blog. I often receive comments that should be attributed to a specific page or post & I have not had any luck suggesting to contributors how to resubmit their information (hard to lead cats ;-). Thanks!

Can you give us a link to the post where you want to comment and what user account you want it to appear from? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thanks!

Below is the post & I would like it to indicate that it was comment/reply was posted by the blog (Wilson Family Tree Album Blog) or “Comments received by administrators of the blog” (or something to that effect). Thanks!

To be sure I understand, you mean to say that you would like for comments you leave on https://wilsonfamilytreealbumblog.wordpress.com to appear not as
survivingseptemberbut as some other name instead?Or do you mean you are trying to add that as some kind of “disclaimer language” that appears on the comments section by default?
Thanks for confirming.

I am wanting to be able to make comments that are shown to be from the blog or blog administrator. When creating the blog, I had intended to create & use an gmail unique to the blog. Unfortunately, I made a mistake with the password (forgot it) and have continued to use my email from my other unrelated blog.
Since readers often send comments using the “Contact Us” feature of this blog that has relevant information to specific posts, I had hoped there was a simple was to copy them & add them to the discussion using the “Reply to” function of the specific post/page (I ask readers to do this, without much success).

Hi again,
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. We don’t have an automated way to do convert a contact form email into a blog post comment, so it sounds like the manual process you are using is really the only way to do this.
But it also sounds like you are looking to apply some kind of styling or something that makes it stand out as a “comment submitted via email” of sorts? We don’t have anything specific for that too, but have you considered using HTML to add some styling to the comments you are copying and pasting?
For example you could use this template, but change the text (contained within the code) without changing any of the code itself. Like this for example:
To get that styling, you would use this code:
<em>Submitted via email</em> <blockquote> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Donec odio. Quisque volutpat mattis eros. Nullam malesuada erat ut turpis. Suspendisse urna nibh, viverra non, semper suscipit, posuere a, pede. Donec nec justo eget felis facilisis fermentum. Aliquam porttitor mauris sit amet orci. Aenean dignissim pellentesque felis. </blockquote> <strong>- Jane Wilson</strong>This will allow you to include email submissions in your blog posts, but set them apart from comments that are sent in the normal fashion by some using the comment form on the post itself.
